Tour Description
Take a step away from everyday life and rediscover the meaning of peace and tranquility at Takahata Fudoson, a Buddhist temple with 1100 years of history.
Time moves at a different pace at this site. Soak in its soothing energy as we walk around the beautiful grounds and visit the individual temples. We will peek at hidden grottos and discover the veiled meaning of statues and shrines. And, of course you will hear stories about the rich history of the temple and its founders. Takahata Fudoson is also one of the few sites where the sacred Fire Purification ceremony is performed, so we will have the opportunity to observe a part of this mesmerizing ritual too. The tour will finish with the traditional drawing of a fortune slip that holds your fortune for the year and gives you a unique power talisman for good luck and prosperity.

- Enjoy a walk around Takahata’s beautiful old temples and shrines and its magnificent crimson pagoda
- At the temple of Seiden – the Japanese version of the Hindu god Ganesha, you will have the opportunity to leave your personal ema votive tablet with a special wish you want to come true.
- Discover the secret of the shrine of Benten, the goddess of Femininity
